The decision of the federal court on May 28, which decided to block the trade duties imposed by US President Donald Trump, will not affect 25% tariffs on cars, auto parts, steel or aluminum. This was reported by CNN.

"The order halts Trump's 30% tariffs on China, 25% tariffs on some goods imported from Mexico and Canada, and 10% universal tariffs on most goods entering the United States," the material says.

However, 25% tariffs on cars, auto parts, steel or aluminum are subject to section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act, which means that the court's decision will not apply to them.

Earlier that day, the US federal court ruled to block Trump's imposition of trade duties, arguing it was an abuse of authority. Trump was guided by the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). The court found that Trump had exceeded the powers vested in the president by the IEEPA.
