In Canada, at least 4 thousand people were evacuated due to forest fires in the province of Saskatchewan. This was announced on Wednesday, May 28, by the CBC News channel.

All residents of the small settlement of Pelikan-Narrows had to leave their homes, the TV channel clarified. However, due to raging forest fires, some roads were blocked, making evacuation more difficult.

Some highways are completely closed, while others are generally operational, but are periodically closed due to smoke or fire.

Earlier, on April 23, it was reported that more than 3 thousand people were evacuated in Ocean County, New Jersey, due to a forest fire with an area of almost 3.5 thousand hectares. According to officials, about 1,320 buildings are still under threat. It is specified that at the moment the fire is localized in 10% of the territory.
