The promised delivery of missiles to Ukraine for the Franco-Italian SAMP/T air defense system has not been carried out for a year and a half. This was reported on May 28 by the newspaper Le Figaro, citing sources.

"No promised missiles to replenish SAMP/T batteries have been received for a year and a half," the newspaper notes.

It is also reported that the Ukrainian army has problems with missiles for American Patriot systems. Due to the shortage, this technique is now used to repel only the "most critical threats."

Earlier in the day, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said that Germany would support Ukraine in developing its own long-range weapons. In turn, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Merz's statements only provoke the continuation of the conflict. He called the chancellor's behavior a dangerous trend and an irresponsible position.
