An IL-76 aircraft with a spillway device arrived in the Astrakhan region to extinguish a fire in the Volga region. This was announced on Wednesday, May 28, by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

"By the decision of the head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov, a board with a spillway device was sent to the region from the Moscow region," the department said in a Telegram channel.

Aviation will be on duty, as there are risks of fire spreading to residential buildings, the Ministry of Emergency Situations added.
