In the Polish city of Wroclaw, 28 football fans were detained due to clashes that took place a day earlier after the match of the English club Chelsea against the Spanish Betis. This was announced on May 28 by Polish Interior Minister Tomasz Semoniak on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

"To date, 28 foreign hooligans have been arrested after riots on the Market Square in Wroclaw," he said.

Semonyak also positively noted the work of the police, which, according to him, is acting "very decisively."

Clashes between football fans against the backdrop of the match between Chelsea and Betis began in Poland a day earlier. According to The Telegraph newspaper, the guards were forced to use tear gas and water cannons to counter the hooligans.

Before that, on May 4, in Italy, an Atalanta fan died from stab wounds as a result of a clash with Inter football fans. The conflict occurred due to disagreements between the fans of the two opposing teams.
