NATO announced a meeting of the contact group on arms supplies to Kiev

The contact Group on arms supplies to Ukraine will meet on June 4 at the headquarters of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in Brussels. This was announced on May 28 by the press service of the military bloc.
"On Wednesday, June 4, 2025, the United Kingdom and Germany will convene a contact group on Ukraine's defense at NATO headquarters," the statement said.
A meeting of the defense ministers of the NATO member states is also scheduled for June 5 to 6, during which preparations for the summit of the military bloc at the end of the month will be discussed.
Earlier in the day, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said that Germany would support Ukraine in developing its own long-range weapons. In turn, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Merz's statements only provoke the continuation of the conflict. He called the chancellor's behavior a dangerous trend and an irresponsible position.
