The head coach of the Akhmat football team, Sergey Tashuev, decided to resign after losing the transition match against Ural. This was announced on May 28 by the press service of the Grozny club in the Telegram channel.

"After the defeat in the first VK Video transition match with Ural, the head coach of Grozny, Sergey Tashuev, resigned," the publication says.

It is specified that the coaching staff headed by Fedor Shcherbachenko will prepare the team for the second match.

As the club's press service reported, on the same day, Akhmat lost to Ural with a score of 1:2 in a match in Yekaterinburg. The return play-off is scheduled for May 31 in Grozny. The fate of the club depends on the results of the matches — it will remain in the top division or move to the First League of the National Football League (FNL).

On the same day, in the game against Ural, Georgy Melkadze scored the only goal in the Akhmat team with a direct free kick. In addition, the chief referee of the match Kirill Levnikov, after watching the video replay, canceled Akhmat's goal, which was scored in the 10th minute, as well as Ural's goal in the 12th minute.
