In Moscow, the average salary for the first quarter was 160.7 thousand rubles, which is 13.1% more than in 2024. The median salary was 107.4 thousand rubles (+13%). This was told to Izvestia by experts from the National Statistics Service, who conducted a study based on data from the analytical panel "Monitoring the Economy of the regions."

"The following industries are leading in terms of salary growth: mining — the salary is 282 thousand rubles, financial and insurance activities — 275 thousand rubles, IT — 226.2 thousand rubles, professional, scientific and technical activities — 185.3 thousand rubles, provision of electric energy, gas and steam — 169.4 thousand rubles," it says. in the study.

If we talk about average salaries by age, then in 18-24 years the salary is 101.6 thousand rubles, in 25-34 years — 155.8 thousand rubles, in 35-44 years — 183.5 thousand rubles, in 45-54 years — 168.9 thousand rubles, in 55-64 years — 144.2 thousand rubles, in 65 + years — 138.1 thousand rubles.

On May 28, Petr Shcherbachenko, an economist and associate professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, said that a financial airbag is a reserve of funds that will help to cope with unforeseen expenses or temporary loss of income, and also named an algorithm for its formation.
