- Putin ordered to increase payments to Paralympians for victories in international competitions

On May 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to increase payments for victories in international competitions to Paralympians, Deaflympians and their mentors. He gave such an instruction, speaking at a meeting of the Council for Physical Education and Sports.
"I believe that it is necessary to increase payments for victories in international competitions to our Paralympians, Deaflympians, as well as their mentors," the president said at a meeting of the Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports.
Putin added that the development of adaptive sports in the future should contribute to achieving national goals, improving the lives of citizens and society, and work in this area should be systematic and coordinated.
In October last year, Putin signed a decree awarding medals and decorations to Russian athletes who became prize-winners at the Paris 2024 Paralympics. At the same time, he said that Russia is proud of its Paralympians, who win and become prize-winners in all international competitions.
