The Federation Council accused Ukraine of deepening the conflict

Western leaders who criticize Russia would do well to take a closer look at the information about the Ukrainian drone raids. Vladimir Dzhabarov, First Deputy head of the Federation Council's international committee, expressed this opinion on Wednesday, May 28, in response to the latest drone attack on Russian regions.
He suggested that in this situation, US President Donald Trump would pay attention to the fact that it is Kiev that is provoking the deepening of the conflict, opposes any peace talks and against ending the confrontation between Russia and Ukraine.
"Maybe then it will be clear that we are working, as our president and our foreign minister have said more than once, exclusively on military facilities, and they are working on civilian targets, residential buildings, hospitals," the senator said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .
He admitted that if this issue is raised in the UN Security Council, then perhaps Trump will evaluate Russia in a different way in the conflict.
"Let him see what's going on. I would see if drones flew to American cities, to Canada, conditionally. I think the reaction there would have been completely different. And our president warned that we would answer for these attacks to our enemies. They are waiting for this in order to provoke a scandal again, hide and say: you see, big Russia is trying to destroy us, help, save us," Jabarov said.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that overnight the air defense forces destroyed 296 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the Russian regions, according to the website kp.ru .
It is specified that the drones were neutralized in the skies over the Moscow region, Bryansk, Belgorod, Vladimir, Voronezh, Ivanovo, Kaluga, Kursk, Orel, Ryazan, Smolensk, Tver and Tula regions. 360.ru .
