In Baikalsk, after the mass murder of teenagers at a party, parent meetings will be held in schools, and the victims are planning to be sent for sanatorium treatment. This was announced on May 28 by the Governor of the Irkutsk region Igor Kobzev.

The decision to transport the injured children to the capital was made by doctors. Now one of the teenagers is already being transported to Irkutsk. Doctors will have to do everything possible to save the children's health. As specified, four schoolchildren were injured: two who died at the hands of a 17-year-old teenager were 14 years old, one girl was 16 years old, and the youngest was 13.

As Maxim Parfenov, the Minister of Education of the region, noted, the evening party where the tragedy occurred raises questions.

"A really unusual situation: children were united in an incomprehensible community from 7th to 10th grade," Parfenov quotes "Газета.Ru ".

Following the meeting in Baikalsk, the Ministry of Education was instructed to organize the work of psychologists at the Center for prevention, Rehabilitation and correction — both with the families of the victims, as well as with classmates, teachers and parents. The department should also hold meetings with parents of Secondary School No. 11 students and ensure an individual approach to each family, Kobzev added in a post on his Telegram channel.

"The investigation of the criminal case was taken over by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin. Andrei Viktorovich Khanko, the prosecutor of the Irkutsk region, is also working at the scene of the tragedy in Baikalsk. He examined the scene of the incident, and also held an operational meeting with representatives of law enforcement agencies and local governments," the governor said.

The deaths of five teenagers and the wounding of four as a result of a knife attack became known earlier that day. It is specified that after the incident, the alleged suspect set fire to the house and died as a result of the fire that started. An operational headquarters was set up in Baikalsk following the incident. Three days of mourning were also declared after the deaths of the teenagers.
