In the Moscow region, police have launched an investigation into the death of a two-year-old girl who was run over by a reversing car. The prosecutor's office has put under control the establishment of the circumstances of the incident, the supervisory authority reports in its Telegram channel.

The hit-and-run occurred on Wednesday, May 28, in the courtyard of an apartment building on Pushchina Street in Bronnitsy. A reversing Kia passenger car driven by a 37-year-old woman hit a two-year-old girl.

The child was urgently taken to the hospital, writes the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya. However, the doctors failed to save the victim, the girl died from her injuries.

The police organized a check on the incident. Its progress and results have been monitored by the Prosecutor's Office.

On May 24, in the center of Moscow, a carsharing car driver hit a child who was crossing the road on a mechanical scooter. The child died.
