Putin discussed strategic partnership with the chairman of the city of Dushanbe


Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed issues of strategic partnership and allied cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia with Chairman of the Upper house of the Parliament of Tajikistan Rustam Emomali. This was reported on May 28 on the Kremlin's website.
"Vladimir Putin received in the Kremlin the chairman of the upper house of Parliament (Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli) of the Republic of Tajikistan, Chairman of the city of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali," the publication says.
It was clarified that the Chairman of the Federation Council, Valentina Matvienko, took part in the meeting from the Russian side.
As Emomali noted in his Telegram channel, at the meeting the parties discussed issues of cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan.
Earlier, on April 25, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the trade turnover between Russia and Tajikistan increased by 9%. The Head of government noted that Dushanbe continues to be an important ally and strategic partner of Moscow in Central Asia.
