Pushkov suggested risks for Germany in case of shutdown of Nord Stream–2

The decision to shut down the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline will affect the German industry. This was announced on May 28 by the head of the Federation Council Commission on information policy, Alexei Pushkov.
On the same day, Merz said that the German government would do everything to prevent the resumption of operation of Server Stream 2. In addition, the Chancellor said that Germany will try to continue to increase pressure on Russia in the field of tightening sanctions.
"This is equivalent to saying, 'We will do everything to continue destroying the German industry,'" the senator's post on the Telegram channel says.
Pushkov recalled that earlier the German industry was harmed by the cabinet of ex-Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and Merz retains continuity.
On May 25, the head of the Government of Saxony, Michael Kretschmer, said that with the resumption of gas supplies via Nord Streams, it would be possible to advance the dialogue on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. In his opinion, the operation of gas pipelines will reduce the price of energy for both companies and German citizens.
