Peskov said it was impossible to create a working group with the United States to support Yemen.

Currently, it is not possible to create a joint working group with the United States to support Yemen. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on May 28.

Earlier in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that relations between Russia and Yemen have always been friendly, and trade and economic cooperation is developing successfully.

Putin noted that he was pleased with the visit of the Chairman of the Presidential Governing Council of Yemen, Rishad al-Alimi, to Russia.

Al-Alimi, in turn, noted Russia's support for the Yemeni authorities, peace and security in the country. In addition, the Yemeni leader praised the long-standing relations between Yemen and Russia, which last for almost a century. Al-Alimi also expressed hope for Russia's help in resolving the situation in the country.
