Virologist, MD, Professor Viktor Zuev told how Russian tourists are at risk of contracting chikungunya fever.

In conversation with aif.ru On Wednesday, May 28, a specialist noted that it is possible to get sick with chikungunya due to the bites of infected mosquitoes. For prevention, Zuev called for protection from blood-sucking insects, using special drugs that are sprayed to repel or destroy insects.

He also advised wearing clothes that protect you from insect bites as much as possible. Special screens should be installed on the windows, and you should also try to avoid possible contact with virus carriers and sick people.

Also on May 28, doctor Olga Ulankina, in an interview with RT, spoke about the consequences of chikungunya fever.
