Bloggers from the Moscow region were charged with violating the right to freedom of conscience

The Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation has charged three bloggers in the Moscow region with violating the right to freedom of conscience and religion. This was announced on May 28 by the press service of the department in the Telegram channel.

It is specified that the charges were brought against citizens born in 2001 and born in 2003.

"<...> At the request of the investigation, the court has chosen a preventive measure against them in the form of detention," the agency said in a statement.

The incident occurred on May 23, when the suspects committed obscene acts using religious symbols during video filming in an apartment in Balashikha, Moscow region, and distributed the video online."Газета.Ru ".

They were charged under Part 1 of Article 148 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the right to freedom of conscience and religion"), as well as under Part 3 of Article 242 of the Criminal Code ("Illegal production and trafficking of pornographic materials or objects").

On May 15, the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction reported that two defendants in the case of LGBT propaganda (the movement is recognized as extremist and banned in Russia) were placed under house arrest. The term of their house arrest will be one month and 28 days.
