Investigators are investigating the suicide of a former professor at Moscow State University (MSU). This was announced on May 28 by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia (IC RF).

"The Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the city of Moscow is conducting an investigation into the death of a man," follows from a message on the Telegram channel.

In addition, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the theft of funds from the victim.

On May 27, it was reported that a former MSU professor committed suicide after handing over more than 50 million rubles to fraudsters. First, the attackers persuaded the man to transfer all the money to a supposedly secure account, then convinced him of the need to sell two apartments, and transfer the proceeds to them.
