Siluanov pointed out the social nature of the amendments adopted in the budget of the Russian Federation.

A significant part of the adopted amendments to the Russian federal budget for 2025 is of a social nature. This was announced on May 28 by the Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov.

"A significant part of the amendments that we have now adopted in the first reading to this year's budget are of a social nature," he said.

According to him, the changes included salaries for public sector employees, additional funds to secure mortgage obligations, including family ones. The minister clarified that the amendments also apply to maternity capital.

Siluanov stressed that the adopted amendments ensure Russia's social obligations.

Earlier that day, deputies of the State Duma approved amendments to the federal budget for the current year in the first reading. According to the changes, budget revenues decreased by 1.79 trillion rubles, and the deficit, in turn, increased by 2.62 trillion rubles, to 1.7% of GDP.
