A light-engine aircraft made an emergency landing at the Bychye Pole airfield in Kronstadt. This was announced on May 28 by a source of Izvestia.
According to preliminary information, the cause of the emergency landing was an engine failure.
It is specified that there were two crew members on board. No one was injured in the incident.
"A light-engine aircraft made an emergency landing on a beach near the Bychye Pole airfield in St. Petersburg," the Western Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee (MCUT IC) confirmed Russia in its Telegram channel.
In connection with the aviation incident, the North-Western Transport Prosecutor's Office organized an inspection.
Earlier, on May 6, an Mi-8 helicopter flying from Markovo to Anadyr made an emergency landing in the Chukotka Autonomous Region. It was clarified that there were 22 passengers on board the helicopter.
