The ninth flight of the Starship spacecraft demonstrates the difficulty of delivering a large volume of payload to Mars. This was announced on May 28 by Dmitry Bakanov, CEO of the Roscosmos state Corporation.

"The ninth flight of Starship shows the complexity of the technological task of delivering a large volume of payload to Mars," he said.

At the same time, the head of the state corporation clarified that SpaceX had succeeded in everything originally planned, but stressed that space exploration is a very difficult mission that requires the highest technologies and competencies.

In addition, Bakanov stressed that the Russian Federation is also working on the creation of a transport system with a nuclear power plant. The development is expected to deliver about 10 tons of payload to near-Martian orbit.

According to the report, Roscosmos and SpaceX have a common goal for deep space exploration. According to the Director General, sooner or later all countries will have to pool resources to ensure a multiplanet for civilization.

Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), announced on March 18 that Moscow was ready to discuss the idea of working together in space with Washington. He also noted that the Russian side would discuss the prospects of cooperation with American entrepreneur, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk.
