A family of lynxes and an Amur leopard from the Moscow Zoo, who were given pills in their enclosure, were not injured. This was announced on May 28 at the Moscow zoo.

"Friends, many people are now worried about our animals. We hasten to reassure you: everything is fine with the lynx family and the Amur leopard. We confirm that yesterday our zoologists actually found pills in the enclosures of lynxes and leopards. As a result of the inspection, the Moscow Zoo's security service quickly identified the culprit of the incident," the zoo's Telegram channel says.

Zoo staff immediately contacted the environmental prosecutor's office and the police, where they received all necessary assistance. The violator was arrested.

"Veterinarians immediately established additional constant monitoring of lynxes and leopards. As of May 28, both the Little Amur leopard and the lynx group are fine, and their health is normal," the message adds.

The zoo also urged visitors to report violators to a security officer or any other zoo employee, adds "Газета.Ru ".

On May 27, Svetlana Akulova, general director of the Moscow Zoo, said that an unknown person had tried to poison the Miser leopard with pills on the premises of the institution. According to her, the zoo, together with law enforcement agencies, will conduct an investigation aimed at clarifying the circumstances of the incident.
