Security has been tightened at the Moscow Zoo after an attempt to poison a leopard

Security was tightened at the Moscow Zoo on Wednesday, May 28, after an attempt to poison a leopard. Footage of the animal after the incident is available to Izvestia.
The recording shows that the high fence and the lack of openings did not prevent the attacker from throwing the pills over the enclosure.
After the incident, many people were worried about the leopard's health, and people came to see it.
"You know, we came with a child to look at a leopard, because yesterday we heard on the news that some terrible person had thrown <...> pills. He wanted to poison the animal. But, thank God, everything is fine," said Anna, a visitor to the zoo.
In addition, she noted that, together with the child, she was glad to see that the leopard was okay and he was not injured.
The fact that an unknown person tried to poison a leopard with pills in the Moscow Zoo became known on May 27. It was noted that the cameras recorded how the man threw pills to the leopard through the fence. Police officers later detained the suspect.
