In the village of Zvannoye in the Glushkovsky district of the Kursk region, a man died when an explosive object disguised as a package detonated. This was announced on May 28 by Acting Governor Alexander Khinshtein.

"Unfortunately, a 36-year—old man suffered life-threatening injuries," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to Khinstein, it is still unsafe in the border areas, sappers neutralize unexploded ordnance every day.

On May 26, two civilians in the Kherson region were injured as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The settlements of Alyoshka, Dneprany, Gornostayevka, Korsunka, Novaya Mayachka, Novaya Zburyevka and Peschanovka were shelled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces that day.
