Peskov urged caution about Georgia's possible NATO membership

It is important to be cautious about Georgia's possible accession to NATO and to exchange positions on this issue. This was announced on May 28 at a briefing by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"There are a lot of arguments, often most of the arguments are incorrect, fake or false, so you need to be careful about this, realizing that the exchange of positions is conducted and will be conducted in a discrete mode," Peskov said.
According to him, there can be no other approach to this issue.
On May 6, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that any NATO actions in the South Caucasus are aimed at creating a zone of instability and tension in the region. According to her, through exercises, NATO imposes its ideology and standards on the states of the region, and also creates conditions for controlling the development of the armed forces of the republics.
