There is currently an internal political confrontation going on in the United States, literally to the death. This was stated on May 28 by Sergei Naryshkin, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), at the XIII International Meeting of High-level Representatives in charge of security issues.

"The internal struggle in the United States is literally life and death, as evidenced by numerous assassination attempts and threats against [US President Donald] Trump," Naryshkin said.

The director of the SVR noted that US President Donald Trump's plans to end the "global propaganda of transhumanism and liberal democracy" in order to address truly important issues in American politics and the economy caused a sharp rejection from the so-called deep state.

Trump's intention to end the armed conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East is also no less controversial.

Earlier, on May 23, the Axios portal, citing a source in the White House, reported that Trump, together with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, were reorganizing the National Security Council (NSC), reducing the number of department employees. These procedures are part of the fight against the so-called deep state (the emergence of hidden structures in the state that are not elected by the people and influence politics and the economy), which neither Rubio nor Trump want, the media pointed out.

In April, The Guardian newspaper reported that mass protests were taking place in the United States against Trump's policies and the imposition of import duties. As Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), noted, such rallies may be an attempt by the deep state to stage a color revolution.
