Peskov named a condition for a possible meeting between Putin and Zelensky


There are no changes in the position of the Russian Federation in the framework of a potential possible meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky. Negotiations can take place based on the agreement of the delegations. This was announced on May 28 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"There are no changes in the position on the fundamental possibility of such a meeting, but such a meeting should be the result of specific agreements between the two delegations in different areas. And in this regard, there are no changes in our position," Peskov said.
According to him, draft memoranda from the two sides will be announced in the near future. Peskov noted that after that there will be a conversation about the next round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
On May 28, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced that a new round of talks between Moscow and Kiev would be announced soon. According to him, Russia is constantly offering Ukraine to resolve the conflict through dialogue and diplomacy.
