The DPRK called the liberation of the Kursk region an indicator of lasting brotherhood with the Russian Federation

The military personnel of Russia and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) demonstrated a high level of brotherhood and friendship during the joint liberation of the Kursk region. This was announced on May 28 by North Korean Minister of State Security Lee Chang-dae at the 13th International Meeting of High-level Representatives Dealing with Security Issues.

"This served as the triumph of justice over injustice and at the same time became a historic event that demonstrated the strong fighting brotherhood between the DPRK and Russia and the highest level of strategic cooperation, allied and fraternal relations," RIA Novosti quoted the DPRK minister as saying.

Lee Chang-dae also believes that the partnership between the two countries has risen to a new level and will have an impact on the protection of peace, becoming "a strategic stronghold and a strong point for containing the military threat."

Vladimir Putin thanked the North Korean military for their help in liberating the Kursk region.

Earlier, on April 30, the head of the KDNR military delegation, Lieutenant General Pak Yong Il, in his speech at the III International Anti-Fascist Congress called the liberation of the Kursk region from the Ukrainian Armed Forces a victory over pure evil. According to him, this event is a new stage in history, which showed the strong interaction between the DPRK and Russia.
