The most popular cars in Moscow and St. Petersburg are named

In Moscow, the best-selling new car on the market in April was the Exeed LX crossover, and in St. Petersburg — Lada Granta. Autostat Info reports about this on May 28 in its Telegram channel.

In the middle of spring, the Exeed LX became the leader of the model rating in the capital, sales of the crossover increased 4.4 times, to 1,353 cars. The Chinese model displaced Lada Granta from the first position, sales of which fell by 46% to 879 units. Haval Jolion took the third place with a score of 694 cars (-39% YoY). Geely Monjaro and Lada Largus rounded out the top five.

In total, according to analysts, 16.7 thousand new cars were sold in Moscow in April. This is 32% less than a year earlier, of which almost 8,700 cars are Chinese. The most popular brands are Lada, Haval, Exeed, Geely and Chery.

In St. Petersburg in April, Lada Granta retained the first position in the model rating (279 units; -20%). Haval Jolion took the second place (251 units; -34%), and Lada Vesta — the third (210 units; -39%). This is followed by Chery Tiggo and Geely Monjaro. The top brands are haval, Lada, Chery, Geely and Changan. In just a month, 4,6 thousand new cars were sold in St. Petersburg, which is 30% less than a year earlier, of which 2,1 thousand cars are Chinese.
