In Moscow, 55 planes landed at alternate airfields due to flight restrictions at Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports.. This was announced on May 28 by the representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency Artem Korenyako.

"As of 10:00 Moscow time on Wednesday, 55 aircraft "left" for alternate airfields on May 28 due to time restrictions on the use of airspace," Korenyako wrote on the Telegram channel.

He added that currently 62 flights have been canceled at airports in the Moscow region. In addition, 52 flights were delayed for more than two hours.

Earlier in the day, temporary flight restrictions were imposed at Vnukovo and Zhukovsky airports, as well as at Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo airports. The decision was made to ensure security. The restrictions were later lifted.
