PCT named the most popular foreign destinations for Russians

Turkey, China, Thailand and Egypt remain the most popular destinations of foreign tourism for Russians. This was stated by Yuri Barzykin, Vice President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT), Chairman of the Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation on Entrepreneurship in the field of tourism, on May 28 during a conference at the Izvestia News Center on the topic "Summer season 2025: where will Russians go?".
According to him, Turkey remains the most popular destination, despite rising prices.
"The growing trend in transportation is China. The railway connection [with the Russian Federation] has been launched in a test mode," said the PCT Vice President.
Barzykin also expressed the hope that Chinese tourists will come more often to Moscow and St. Petersburg, since now the main influx falls on the Primorsky Territory.
In addition, the expert singled out Thailand, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Egypt among the most popular destinations.
On May 20, Izvestia got acquainted with the survey data conducted by the platform hh.ru and the Ostrov service. According to the results, every fifth Russian (22%) plans to spend more than 100,000 rubles on vacation this season. 13% of Russians invest 20-40 thousand and 40-60 thousand rubles for these purposes. 10% of respondents intend to allocate 60-80 thousand rubles for recreation, 11% — 80-100 thousand rubles. Only 9% of the study participants plan to meet the target of 20 thousand rubles.
