The PCT predicted 50 million trips of Russians within the country by October

From June 1 to October 1, Russians will make 50 million trips within the Russian Federation. This was stated on May 28 by Yuri Barzykin, Vice-President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT), Chairman of the Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation on Entrepreneurship in the field of tourism, during a conference at the Izvestia News Center on the topic "Summer season 2025: where will Russians go?".
He noted that the high tourist season begins in May. River tours have been launched in Russia since the end of April.
"We see that the scope of the season has also been expanded. Today, the choice is much wider," he said.
According to him, the tourist infrastructure has also been improved. Thus, the number of rooms and small accommodation facilities has increased. Autotourism is also developing, he stressed.
Barzykin added that domestic tourism is growing, and outbound tourism is recovering, but not yet to the pre-peak level.
"Inbound tourism is seriously increasing. With the renewal of the e—visa, the number of arrivals increases significantly," he concluded.
On May 20, Izvestia got acquainted with the survey data conducted by the platform hh.ru and the Ostrov service. According to the results, every fifth Russian (22%) plans to spend more than 100,000 rubles on vacation this season. 13% of Russians invest 20-40 thousand and 40-60 thousand rubles for these purposes. 10% of respondents intend to allocate 60-80 thousand rubles for recreation, 11% — 80-100 thousand rubles. Only 9% of the study participants plan to meet the target of 20 thousand rubles.
