A resident of the Saratov region will be tried for selling counterfeit alcohol


In the city of Marx, Saratov region, a 49-year-old man will stand trial for committing a number of frauds related to counterfeit alcohol and tobacco products. This was announced on May 28 by the MIA Media portal.
The illegal activity of the attacker was stopped by law enforcement officers in April last year.
"According to the investigation, a 49-year-old man organized the sale of counterfeit goods through 10 grocery stores in Marx. During searches at his home and in the garage, the police found more than 23 thousand packs of cigarettes and over 6 thousand bottles of alcohol totaling about 8 million rubles," the Telegram channel of the resource says.
According to the investigation, 20 accomplices were identified who were engaged in the delivery, loading, accounting and sale of counterfeit goods. They are accused of complicity in illegal activities. The "organizer of the underground business" himself will soon be sentenced.
Earlier, on April 17, the Russian Interior Ministry stopped the production of counterfeit household chemicals in the Tula region. Seven people worked at the underground enterprise, who mixed counterfeit cleaning and washing liquids, and subsequently poured them into containers and glued labels of well-known brands.
