A pensioner was injured in a bus accident in Primorsky Krai.

In Primorye, a 78-year-old passenger car driver did not give way to a passenger bus, causing an accident. As a result, a woman of retirement age was injured. This was announced on Wednesday, May 28, by the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.

"It has been established that the 78-year—old driver <...> did not give way to a vehicle with a preferential right of way at intersections when leaving a secondary road and collided with a passenger bus," the agency said in a Telegram post.

According to the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, only the driver was in the bus at the time of the incident. As a result of the accident, a 73-year–old female passenger of a passenger car was injured, she did not require hospitalization.

The examination of both drivers showed no signs of intoxication. During the inspection, it was also established that before entering the line, the bus driver underwent a pre-trip medical examination in accordance with the established procedure.

An administrative case has been initiated into the accident due to a traffic violation that caused minor or moderate harm to health (12.24 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation).

Earlier, on May 27, an accident occurred in the Omsk region, as a result of which one person was killed. Two minors, a girl born in 2014 and a boy born in 2016, were hospitalized in serious condition.
