The Starship crashed and burned up in the atmosphere on its return to Earth

The Starship spacecraft broke up and burned up in the atmosphere during its ninth test flight on Tuesday, May 27, during its return to Earth.

"We lost contact with the ship a couple of minutes ago. Thus, the ninth flight test has come to an end," SpaceX said during a live broadcast of the launch on the company's YouTube channel.

The ship launched from the Starbase site in south Texas and was scheduled to land in the Gulf of Mexico. About 30 minutes after the launch, communication with the ship was lost, then it began to rotate chaotically.

Presumably, the Starship orbited the Earth and collapsed over the Indian Ocean after entering the atmosphere.

Earlier, on March 7, SpaceX announced the unsuccessful launch of the Starship spacecraft. It was clarified that communication with the device was lost a few minutes after launch.
