The Transport Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) has sent a criminal case to the court against the aircraft commander, who caused the helicopter to make a hard landing. This was announced on May 28 by the press service of the Eastern Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Telegram channel.

"The Yakut Investigative Department for Transport of the Russian Navy has completed the investigation of a criminal case against the former aircraft commander for committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violations of traffic safety rules and operation of air transport")," the department said.

The investigation found that on October 30, 2023, the captain of the aircraft did not take into account the weather conditions and violated the flight rules, as a result of which the helicopter crashed and overturned. As a result of the incident, the pilot and two passengers received injuries of varying severity.

It is also specified that the owner of the helicopter received damage of 8 million rubles, since the helicopter cannot be restored after the crash.

"The investigation has collected sufficient evidence, and therefore the criminal case with the approved indictment has been sent to court for consideration on its merits," the department concluded.

Earlier, on March 20, the co-pilot of Ural Airlines, Eduard Semenov, who, as part of the crew, made an emergency landing in a field in the Novosibirsk region in the fall of 2023, was fired. It is specified that the company offered the man to transfer to a ground job, but he refused.
