The Ministry of Economic Development says the EAEU is ready to start negotiations on a free trade zone with Tunisia

The EAEU and Tunisia are preparing to start negotiations on the creation of a free trade zone. This was reported to Izvestia by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

"The work of the joint research group is at an active stage. Based on its results, specific conclusions and recommendations will be formed, with a focus on which we will be able to initiate appropriate negotiations," the ministry said.

The ministry also added that a similar proposal to create a FTA is currently under consideration in Morocco. If Rabat approves it, the EAEU will launch a working process for the preparation of an agreement on an FTA.
