The European Parliament commented on the discussions on the possible deprivation of Hungary's voting rights

Discussing the possibility of depriving Hungary of its voting rights in the EU is an abuse of power on the part of Brussels in order to force Budapest to adhere to a certain policy, Luxembourg MEP Fernand Kartheiser said in an interview with Izvestia.

"I believe that this is an abuse of power on the part of the European Union in order to force countries to adhere to a certain policy," the politician said.

Earlier it became known that the EU Council on General Affairs will not hold a vote and will not be able to take any decision on depriving Hungary of the right to vote in the European Union. It is still only about hearings on the issue.
