U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert Kennedy Jr. met with Argentine President Javier Miley and discussed with him the withdrawal of countries from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the establishment of its international alternative. This was announced by Kennedy Jr. on Tuesday, May 27.

"I had a wonderful meeting with the President of Argentina, Miley, during which we discussed the mutual withdrawal of our countries from the WHO," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twiter).

It is expected that a possible alternative based on scientific standards will be free from totalitarian sentiments, corruption and political control.

On May 2, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, in the draft federal budget for 2026, proposed suspending most US contributions to the World Health Organization, UNESCO and other United Nations (UN) structures, including all voluntary transfers. In total, it is planned to reduce expenditures on the relevant budget line by more than $1.7 billion compared to 2025.
