The White House announced plans to accumulate a large reserve of cryptocurrencies


The US administration intends to accumulate as much bitcoin reserve as possible and will not sell a single unit. This was announced on Tuesday, May 27, by Bo Hines, executive director of the White House Board of Advisors on Digital currencies.
"Firstly, we want to accumulate more, and secondly, we are not going to sell any bitcoin that we may have in the US government, period," he said during a speech at the Bitcoin 2025 conference in Las Vegas. The event is being broadcast on the event's YouTube channel.
The conference is dedicated to the development of cryptocurrencies and the introduction of blockchain technologies. In addition to cryptocurrency experts, there are also many senators and officials from the administration of US President Donald Trump among the speakers.
Earlier, on March 2, Trump announced the preparation of the US cryptocurrency reserve, which will be based on bitcoin and Etherium. He added that he would do everything to turn the United States into the "crypto capital of the world."
