To maintain healthy skin in the summer season, you can resort to the method of psychodermatology, which combines elements of psychology and cosmetic care. This was stated on May 27 by Tatiana Shapranova, a leading cosmetologist at the Geltek Skin Diagnostics Center, in an interview with Gazeta.Ru».

"Today, regular care is not enough: to achieve radiance, you need to meditate, visit a psychologist, and even inhale special scents. The idea is that stress is the main enemy of the skin, and managing emotions becomes part of the beauty routine," she said.

According to the expert, internal and external conflicts of a person can physiologically have a negative impact on the skin, since the endocrine, immune and nervous systems of a person work together.

"Constant tension causes muscle clamps, which eventually form wrinkles. Because of this, blood vessels constrict - the skin receives less oxygen and nutrients. And when stress is constant, the protective properties and immunity of the skin decrease, which causes inflammation. The method of psychodermatology is to work not only on the quality of the skin, but also on your emotions," explained Shapranova.

She emphasized that numerous experiences make the skin look duller. That is why it is worthwhile not to mask the negative consequences, but to strive to eliminate their causes. Relaxation, therapy, and scents can help with this. In addition, massage and water can help turn daily facial skin care into relaxation.

"Another method is postisometric relaxation. This is a manual technique that helps relieve muscle tension and spasms through alternating controlled tension and passive stretching. Its principle is based on the physiological reaction of muscles: after a brief effort, they relax reflexively. The technique is simple: you need to gently stretch the problem muscle, then create a counteraction for 5-10 seconds. After the tension phase, the muscle "releases" the spasm, and stretching can be increased again," the dermatologist said.

Such a cycle of such exercises should be repeated several times until the effect of relaxation occurs.

On May 27, cosmetologist Olesya Luchenkova gave tips on skin care in the summer. One of the main protective mechanisms of the skin when exposed to sunlight is the production of melanin, that is, the appearance of pigment. This includes a dark tan on the skin, and local age spots. It is also important to moisturize the skin so that the quality of collagen fibers, its elasticity, and tone do not decrease under the influence of sunlight.
