The UN Secretary General expressed concern over drone strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territory of the Russian Federation

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is concerned about drone strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on civilians in Russia. This was announced on May 27 by the representative of the Secretary General Stefan Dujarric.

"The Secretary—General is concerned about the reported consequences of Ukrainian drone strikes on civilians in the Russian Federation," he said at a briefing broadcast on the UN's YouTube channel.

Dujarric said that the organization calls for a cease-fire and continued work on a peaceful settlement of the conflict.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that from May 20 to May 27, the air defense forces destroyed 2,331 Ukrainian attack UAVs over the regions of Russia. It was clarified that 1,465 drones were eliminated outside the special operation zone.
