Barcelona has extended the contract with 17-year-old striker Yamal.

Spanish football club FC Barcelona has extended the contract with striker Lamin Yamal until June 2031. This was announced on May 27 by the FC press service.

"The Barca forward made his debut for the first team on April 29, 2023, at the age of just 15, and since then, the guy from Mataro, near Barcelona, has burst onto the world football scene with performances that have already made history for FC Barcelona," the club's website says.

It is noted that together with the team in the 2024/25 season, he became the champion, the winner of the Cup and the Spanish Super Cup. Last season, the player participated in 55 matches for Barcelona, scored 18 goals and provided 25 assists. According to FC, during his career in the Spanish team, the striker scored 25 goals and provided 34 assists.

On April 26, Barcelona beat Real Madrid in the final match of the Spanish Cup. The game took place at La Cartuja Stadium in Seville and ended 3-2 after extra time.
