Two teenagers from Mariupol are accused of fraud for 1 million rubles

Two teenagers from Mariupol are accused of stealing more than 1 million rubles from residents of Berdyansk. This was announced on May 27 by the press service of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Zaporozhye region.
It is specified that the defendants served as couriers. They came to the victims' homes for money, which was allegedly intended to pay for legal aid to their relatives who were involved in an accident.
After that, the teenagers transferred the money to the banking details specified by their accomplices. As a payment, the young people kept 5-10% of the amount. The total amount of stolen funds amounted to more than 1 million rubles.
"Thanks to the coordinated actions of the staff of the Investigative Committee of Russia and operatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Zaporozhye region, the legal representatives of the minor defendants fully compensated the victims," the Telegram channel says.
The investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
On May 24, it was reported that fraudsters had lured 720 thousand rubles from a pensioner. It is noted that a man who introduced himself as an employee of Rosfinmonitoring called her and advised her to declare money and jewelry "for safety." The pensioner sent a photo of her savings to the attacker in a messenger, after which the scammer forced her to transfer money to the specified accounts.
