The dates of the beginning of the beach season in the Moscow region have been announced

The beach season in the Moscow region will open on Sunday, June 1. Annual preparatory work is currently underway, the press service of the regional Ministry of Landscaping reports.

This summer, 164 beaches and waterside recreation areas will be opened, and 1.5 million people are expected to visit them. Last season, the beaches were visited by more than 1.3 million people, writes the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya.

In preparation for the bathing season, sand is brought to the beaches, acaricide treatment and diving inspection of reservoirs are carried out. The beach infrastructure in the region will also be put in order — changing cabins, showers, sun beds, volleyball courts, and the like.

The beaches "Blue Lake" in Lukhovitsy, "Ljubljana" in Yegoryevsk, beaches in Zaraysk, Taldom and Senezh in Solnechnogorsk are considered the most popular in the Moscow region. The full list of places to relax by the water is published here.
