A Penza resident was arrested for treason and working for Ukrainian intelligence

Employees of the regional Department of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation have detained a resident of the Penza region, who is suspected of treason. This was reported on May 27 in the press service of the department.
According to investigators, he passed information about the participants of the special military operation (SVO) to the Ukrainian intelligence service.
"The illegal activities of a resident of the Penza Region, born in 1995, who is accused of committing a crime under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, High Treason, have been suppressed," the statement said.
The department clarified that the man independently established contact with a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine via the Internet. On the instructions of the curator, he collected and transferred the personal data of Russian military personnel, which could lead to negative consequences for them: the information could be used against the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
Currently, investigative and operational search activities are continuing, aimed at documenting additional facts of the accused's illegal activities, the FSB added.
On March 24, employees of the FSB of Russia detained an employee of one of the control and supervisory authorities of the Russian Federation on suspicion of treason. The investigation found that the Russian collaborated confidentially with representatives of Ukraine, assisting them in activities directed against the security of the Russian Federation.
