A woman with a rare pathology caused by eating bread was rescued in Moscow.

In Moscow, a woman who constantly ate bread needed surgery due to an undigested lump in her stomach. This was announced on May 27 by the press service of the Department of Health of the capital.
The department noted that the woman entered the Sklifosovsky Institute with complaints of heartburn and heaviness in the stomach. Doctors, conducting examinations, found a huge undigested formation in the stomach — phytobezoar. As a result, she needed an emergency operation.
"It is likely that our patient's phytobezoar was formed due to the loaves. For several years, due to diabetes, the woman limited herself in food, but she ate bread every day," said the Sklifosovsky Institute.
It is specified that the operation was successful and the woman was discharged without complications.
In April, Mikhail Burmistrov, head of the military hospital at the Tatarstan Red Cross, reported that doctors in Tatarstan had successfully performed an operation to extract a fragment from the heart of a soldier in a special military operation (SVO). It was noted that the doctors decided to perform the operation without cardiac arrest — for the first time in the region.
