As part of the "Summer in Moscow" project, events dedicated to the International Children's Day will be held throughout the capital, said Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina. One of the largest holiday venues will be VDNKH.

On May 31 and June 1, the exhibition will host creative and engineering workshops, concerts, theatrical performances, quests, sports competitions, quizzes, the deputy mayor said. The program will be complemented by several family festivals at once.

"Young visitors will meet with the heroes of Russia, watch cartoons, make gifts for their loved ones with their own hands and get acquainted with modern professions," Sergunina said.

On June 1, there will be guided tours of the Tretyakov Gallery's exposition at VDNH. After that, visitors will be offered to construct a cardboard model of pavilion No. 1 "Central", where the exhibition is located. At the master classes, children will create a diorama based on one of the murals by the artist Boris Shcherbakov, whose original work is presented here.

Sightseeing tours will also take place at the Cosmonautics and Aviation Center. Students will learn how a rocket works and what astronauts' food consists of, as well as why they need to exercise in zero gravity. The Cinema Museum will show Soviet animated films, for example, "The Pipe and the Jug", "What is good and what is bad", "The Mirror" and "Chunya".

A festive program was also prepared at the Soyuzmultpark multimedia center. It will include musical quizzes "Guess the melody from three notes", dance competitions, quizzes and much more.

For some events, you will need to register in advance or purchase a ticket. The schedule is published on the official website of VDNH.
