On May 31, the investigative documentary "Chubais and Company: Why did the Traitors escape?" will be shown on REN TV.

A lawsuit has been filed against the former head of Rusnano, Anatoly Chubais, for large-scale embezzlement of money, and his property has been seized. What is Chubais really to blame for? How were the schemes for withdrawing billions from Russia's largest state corporation organized? Why did Chubais flee the country and hide from the media? How did he manage to get rid of all his Russian assets? The REN TV journalists decided to get the answers to these questions firsthand and went to visit Anatoly Chubais in Israel.

REN TV viewers will be the first to see where Chubais currently lives. There, in a cottage village in the Israeli region of Modi'in, which was closed from prying eyes, the journalists also met with the wife of the ex-head of Rusnano, Avdotya Smirnova.

The film also includes exclusive interviews with Anatoly Chubais' older brother, Igor Chubais, who has not spoken to the press for the past three years, and with fugitive ex—MP Ilya Ponomarev (recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent, listed on the register of extremists and terrorists), who was responsible in the State Duma for supporting promising developments.
