- Lviv authorities have begun dismantling the columns at the entrance to the Hill of Glory memorial

In Lviv, the columns at the entrance to the memorial complex "Hill of Glory", built in honor of the Soviet soldiers who liberated the city from the German invaders in 1944, are being dismantled. This was reported on May 27 by the Ukrainian edition of "Public".
A video was posted on his Telegram channel showing construction equipment destroying columns decorated with bronze images of the Order of the Patriotic War and inscriptions in Russian and Ukrainian "Eternal glory to the heroes who fell in battles for the honor and victory of our Motherland."
It is reported that the Lviv authorities continue to exhume the bodies of Soviet soldiers who were buried in the memorial complex. There were 225 graves there.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on May 1 that the exhumation of the remains of Soviet soldiers on the "Hill of Glory" in Lviv speaks to the immoral nature of the Kiev regime and its Western curators. She noted that Kiev portrays collaborators, Bandera and neo-Nazis as heroes.
